For me, this was a Crying Out Loud film. All the way through

For me, this was a Crying Out Loud film. All the way through. It’s a film about my home, home of my heart, land of dreams, Vrindavan. It’s a sweet film and it’s potent. It’s been beautifully written by a devotee couple with soft and sincere hearts, and it features the voice and teachings of your friend and mine, Srila Govinda Swami. Let’s go there!

Beautifully shot and has clearly been a labour of love

A few days ago I had the chance to preview the film ‘Reconnection’. It is beautifully shot and has clearly been a labour of love for the filmmakers – husband and wife team, Maxim Varfolomeyev and Olga Avramenko. The film captures some of the quintessential experiences of Vrindavan as a place — the colour, sights, sounds, smells, and tastes — whilst also effectively giving a flavour of its devotional energy, and communicating the message that Vrindavan is not just a physical location but a state of consciousness.
The semi-fictional story was one which many people will be able to relate to, and charmingly features many Vrindavan locals acting as themselves (amazingly un-selfconsciously I thought!)
Having made a music album and seeing the back end production of many an artistic offering, I can appreciate how much work and time and devotion goes into such a piece – which we consume within minutes.
The filmmakers are now trying to raise money to cover the costs of production, so that it can be broadcast widely all over the world, and share this message of spiritual reconnection. Please watch the trailer, and consider giving something – however small, to support this project.

It is a fine art to draw people according to where they are at present‬

I was mostly contrasting in my mind the ‘human element’ / he and his girlfriend, since Jagadananda has been posting about so-called ‘love’ experienced in this world as being a reflection of Divine Love; not sure I see ‘eye-2-eye’ with that, but in any case, let’s face it, when you see people in the States interviewed re: the CivilWar- who won? who were the two sides? and they all look back with blank stares, but if you ask them who is BradPitt married to? they all know. so, it is a fine art to draw people according to where they are at present‬.
‪I think you all did a beautiful job‬.
‪And I hope that all the material that got edited out can one day be compiled as well; I’m sure you have a lot!‬

The film just fascinates. It is easy to watch but it has a deep meaning at the same time

Thank you for the film! We have watched it with all our family. It’s amazing – although we have never visited Vrindavan, only read and watched about it a lot, we had a feeling that we were actually there! The film just fascinates. It is easy to watch but it has a deep meaning at the same time. Instructions of Govinda Swami that accompany the film make us think about many things and get attached to Vrindavan even more. Our desire to get back home became much more stronger!
Thank you very much!!

A priceless gift for all the Vaishnavas and those who are in search of meaning of life

After watching “Reconnection” I had only one wish – to take the plane that very second and travel to Vrindavan! And it wasn’t a momentary urge or emotional impulse – I knew perfectly well why and for what reason I want to go there.
Thoughts that arise and memories collected after each trip to Vrindavan are complemented by Reconnection in a perfect manner. After watching the film I felt sad but at the same time I felt warm from within my heart. Sad because I wanted to be a part of what I have just seen and warm because once again I found myself convinced that I am on a right track.
Thank you very much for that great work you have made. It’s indeed a priceless gift for all the Vaishnavas and those who are in search of meaning of life.

I had goose bumps hundreds of times and there were many points where I had tears in my eyes

I am lost in admiration! :D
I have just watched an incredible movie about Vrindavan twice. Looots of emotions… I had goose bumps hundreds of times and there were many points where I had tears in my eyes. This movie fascinates and IS CALLING you to go back to Vrindavan. I want to be there right now!!! It feels like Srimati Radharani blessed this movie!
My dear friends, pleeease donate to this project whatever you can from the bottom of your heart, so that this movie could be available for everybody!
